Dance Links Tapestry Folkdance Center schedules weekend folk dances and contra dances with live music and dance calling and friendly dance instruction. Tapestry also offers dance classes and workshops on a regular basis. The Lloyd Shaw Foundation is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and teaching of the folk dances of America. It's a good source for folk dances and folk dance workshops throughout the United States. Charlie Seelig manages a web site for contra dance information in the United States and Canada. Tamarack Dance Association schedules monthly dances and workshops in Duluth. Dancemore is an all purpose web site for dancing contacts in the Duluth area. Ballroom dancing is the major focus. The Harbor City String Band hosts a weekly music jam at the Harbor City International School in Duluth. Students and adults are welcome. Duck for the Oyster is a great traditional dance band based in northern Wisconsin. They have a complete schedule of community dances and other events.
